I took pictures of my brother the other day because the lighting was perfect and I miss being behind the camera.

Inspiration
It's cliche and often a lie when people say they're inspired by everything around them (one will also not be fruitful when asking this question in an interview). It's awfully vague and a scape goat to avoid the great unveil to their secret well of talent. Being a journalist I meet and (although I hate to admit) forget a lot people. In order for me to classify something as inspirational it would make me second guess why I live and the way in which I live it. It needs to be compelling and something I couldn't ignore.
Today, it's Casey Neistat.
Thank you for reminding me to work harder and be convicted in who I am.
And I encourage my 20 somewhat readers to do the same.

CNE
Every summer, before the standard academic calendar can begin, Torontonians have the pleasure of going out with a loud, bright, and flashing bang.

Growing Up Is Hard To Do
Yesterday I moved to the city with my brother and the transition from the burbs' to the city is different. This is scary because this is new. It's strange because it is unfamiliar. And as long I remind myself of this fact I know that I will be okay.

New Toys: Flatforms
There is constant battle in my head between what I want my style to be like.
The easy-going part of me wants to kick back in these awesome flat-form chucks, jump into high-waisted distressed denim shorts, and tie a plaid button up around my waist all while rocking a muscle tee and some circle shades.
The other, feels on top of the world in sky high stilettos all while draping a white chiffon maxi dress with a plunging neckline over delicate shoulders with drizzles of rose gold and/or crystal pendants swaying from off my neck.
And when it comes time to actually buy clothes, both sides are at a stand still.
Initially, these babys won me over.
But then I returned them.

Rib Fest
Apologies in advance for any vegetarians out there and those who might consider this in gore side of life.
I have given you warning.
This past Sunday I went straight from work to go to my very first Rib Fest. For those of you who are like me and are unfamiliar with the event I will try to explain it to my understanding. It is an event where chefs from North America travel as a pack and compete to having the best of the best ribs. Each (let's call them kitchens) are set up in booths under huge banners proclaiming their greatness in the field of rib. Kitchens are set up like lemonade stalls where hungry crowds form endless lines to experience their rendition of #1 Rated ribs in the year ____ .
Although the main attraction are ribs, kitchens have a variety of unhealthy but very tasty foods.
And of course I, being the tyrant that I am refused to eat any of the meat. But I did enjoy the sweet corn a kitchen had.
I do enjoy my sweet corn.
The Joseph is sporting a navy button down from the GAP. Minimalism, it's a thing.
We ended the night off with a lovely funnel cake that was both delicious and disgustingly expensive.

Favouring Royal Blue
I fluctuate between my favourite colours. Sometime's it's conditional and I have to create subcategories for each colour. For example. My favourite colour is mustard but not on me or my food. Any kind of blue usually makes me cringe inside except when it's clothing. I'm pretty gung-ho about white gowns right now, as if I were a bridezilla, and white walls are beautiful, but white tile looks dirty to me.
But of course, all these are subject to change because I usually get proven wrong once I decide on anything favourite of mine (except Forrest Gump which is my all time favourite movie).
I picked up this maxi dress from Joe Frech which I had to hem - because I stand at a miniature 4'11". I threw this envelope clutch over my shoulder from Nastygal.com and draped a Forever 21 necklace around my neck.

It's All In The Family
I'm going to admit that the intense adoration I have for this dress is irrational. But this is my first dress I purchased at Zara. This may not be a big deal, but I didn't fit in Zara and I would always go in and long for their clothes at a quiet distance.
